Professional Experience
Presently I am working as an optoelectronics test engineer with ADVA Optical Networking in Atlanta, U.S.A. Here in ADVA, I am involved in design, development and deployment of end to end manufacturing test solutions. My work includes architecting test concepts and design hardware and software interfaces for testing optical networking equipment. Specifically, I am involved in board level and component level functional testing of WDM telecom devices and optical EDFAs.
From October 2013 to October 2014, I worked as an Analog Design Engineer with AMD, Inc., Markham, Canada. At AMD, I was part of the team involved in design of the DisplayPort AUX/I2C interface. I was involved in the development and execution of pre-silicon verification test plans to validate IP/chip functions. My work also included complete post-layout verification and design enhancements.
I worked as a Teaching Assistant at UWO for the course 'Introduction to VLSI' (Cadence-based design system) during January – April 2009, 2010, 2011. During September – December 2009, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for the course 'Introduction to C++' (VisualC++ based).
Before coming to Canada, I worked as an Executive Engineer with Siemens Ltd., India in the Transportation Systems Division, Mumbai, India from July 2006 to July 2008. At Siemens I was part of the team developing the 500kVA converter for power car of super fast trains of Indian Railways. I was also involved in the maintenance, trouble shooting and design improvisation of the 180kVA converter and the 25kVA underslung type coach converter.
